ثَابَرَ \ go on: (esp. with the -ing form of verbs) to continue: He went on sleeping in spite of the noise. Go on with your work. persevere: to keep on trying; continue steadily (at or in or with sth. that is hard or uninteresting). persist: (often with in) to refuse to stop doing sth., in spite of failure, advice, etc.: He persists in driving a car though he can hardly see. press on: to go on; continue in a determined way: We must press on with our efforts. \ ثَابَرَ \ keep sth. up: to continue; prevent from getting weaker: Keep up your English after you leave school. You’ve made a good start, so keep it up.
